Dipole induced transparency in drop-filter cavity-waveguide systems.
We show that a waveguide that is normally opaque due to interaction with a drop-filter cavity can be made transparent when the drop filter is also coupled to a dipole, even when the vacuum Rabi frequency of the dipole is much less than the cavity decay rate. The condition for transparency is simply achieving large Purcell factors. We describe how this effect can be useful for designing quantum ...

We determine the optical response of a thin and dense layer of interacting quantum emitters. We show that, in such a dense system, the Lorentz redshift and the associated interaction broadening can be used to control the transmission and reflection spectra. In the presence of overlapping resonances, a dipole-induced electromagnetic transparency (DIET) regime, similar to electromagnetically indu...
متن کاملDispersive properties and large Kerr nonlinearities using dipole-induced transparency in a single-sided cavity
We calculate the dispersive properties of a single-sided cavity coupled to a single dipole. We show that when a field is resonant with the dipole and the Purcell factor exceeds the bare cavity reflection coefficient, the field experiences a phase shift relative to reflection from a bare cavity. We then show that optically Stark shifting the dipole resonance with a second field creates large Ker...

queueing model. We define a new concept of trunk as a group of voice traffic with identical destination and DSCP. It is assumed that at least one trunk should be established between the ingress router and corresponding egress router. Each trunk has a different voice traffic arrival rate and mean service timc. We assume that there are P types of queues. In a queue of typc lc (k = I, 2, ..., P), ...
متن کاملMultichannel optical add-drop processes in symmetrical waveguide-resonator systems.
Multichannel optical add-drop processes are studied in a class of symmetric waveguide-resonator systems. With insight gained from group theory, we analyze these systems and show that they can add or drop multiple wavelengths simultaneously, with 100% efficiency. A new mechanism is presented to reduce the remnant light at the dropped wavelengths in the pass-through port. High-order Butterworth f...
